My interest in creating this  body of work began when my son started Irish dancing lessons nearly 20 years ago. I loved the hard work and dedication I witnessed in the young dancers who all hoped to one day be a World Champion. I wanted to depict the "dailyness" of just what that perseverance looked like. I also personally  aspire to be the Degas of Irish dancing.
