In the course of a life, something significant happens to each of us. Photographs are a wonderful, easily accessible way to capture a special moment, as is a well-worn journal wherein we record our dearest thoughts and the milestones of our lives. While one is meant for public consumption and the other an utterly private exercise, neither carry the sense of permanence that a painted work of art naturally evokes.

A large portion of my work has always been devoted to personal commissions, commemorating special fragments in time. No occasion is too great or too small. By capturing a moment's light, color, and energy, I can create a timeless original for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, dance recitals, and any other memorable person or event. I aim to capture the moments within forever: the perfect love between a mother and her child, the family dynamic through a group portrait, a beloved homestead, the essence of a cherished pet or prized show animal. These paintings become family heirlooms and treasures for future generations.

I paint with a variety of media including oil, pastel, and watercolor on various substrates. Each piece is completely custom and can come in practically any size.
